Family Living
Family Living helps families thrive in a rapidly changing world. Backed by University of Wisconsin research, Family Living educators work with families to help them solve problems and improve the quality of family life. Family Living educators partner with community organizations and agencies to build strong families. Family Living programs teach family members to:
- Become more effective parents or caregivers.
- Make healthy choices about diet, exercise and food safety.
- Manage family finances.
Utilizing a comprehensive program approach, the Oconto County Family Living Program provides parent education, nutrition and health, and money management programs to meet the needs of Oconto County individuals and families.
Raising healthy children requires nurturing values and supportive communities. Family Living faculty and staff are actively involved in enhancing community partnerships aimed at supporting the needs of families and children. UW-Extension professionals have ready access to the growing body of research about families and community collaboration that can guide decision making.
