The safety of our produce impacts everyone. A Produce Safety Alliance (PSA) grower training course for fruit and vegetable growers and others interested in learning about produce safety, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule, Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), and co-management of natural resources and food safety will be held on Monday, February 26th. This PSA Grower Training Course is one way to satisfy the FSMA Produce Safety Rule training requirement.
Hosted by UW-Extension and Safe Wisconsin Produce, this PSA course, on Monday February 26th, 2018 will run from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm on the UW-Fond du Lac campus located at 400 University Avenue, Fond du Lac. The training will be in the University Center Rooms 113/114.
The fee to attend is $60, which covers the costs for PSA Grower Training Manuals, a Certificate of Course Attendance from AFDO, and coffee service, lunch, and snacks. The registration deadline is February 19th, 2018. However, depending on seating, limited availability for walk-in registrations may be allowed.
